Hughes recorded and produced electrifying renditions of 13 songs he loves, including covers of KISS, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Love & Rockets, Ramones, Steve Miller Band, George Michael/Wham, Mary J. Blige, Queens of the Stone Age, The Distillers, David Bowie & more!
During the recording of “Family Affair,” Jesse invited two French friends from Paris who were in the Bataclan attack in Paris. The couple, Sebastien and Sandrine, brought their teenagers with them and Jesse asked them to lend their voices to the background vocals. What followed was magic as the teens recorded the vocals for one of the best songs ever!!

The album was recorded at Valentine Recording Studio City, CA. Opened in 1946, the studio saw the likes of Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, Frank Zappa, and The Beach Boys. Jesse would stay on at the studio working on his next album, a soundtrack for Super Troopers 2.
