The mighty Eagles of Death Metal will begin its next conquest of Europe with a series of shows in the United Kingdom, starting July 4 in London at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, then heading north for a show in Sheffield at The Leadmill on July 5.
The 14-date, 18-day leg of the tour will hit such countries as Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. Highlights are sure to include appearances at the Sjock Festival in Gierle, Belgium on 7/8, and Zwarte Cross Festival in Lichtenvoorde, The Netherlands on 7/21, with more festivals to be announced.
General on sale for all headline shows will be Friday, Jan. 20.
Known for their high-energy, effortless charisma and infectious feel-good vibes, EODM will be returning to Europe as part of the band’s highly successful multi-year, 24th Anniversary Tour that began last year, which will eventually see EODM perform throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and the United States and Canada.
“Man, I have been itching to get back out there and play some live rock ‘n’ roll again to the best fans in the word - The Eagles of Death Metal flock!!,” said lead singer and frontman Jesse Hughes. “John Steinbeck once said, ‘People don’t take trips, trips take people’… This is an open invite to come take a trip with me and the band.”
The EODM live band is filled out by Jennie Vee on bass, Jorma Vik on drums, and Joshua Jove on guitar.
Formed in 1998 in Palm Desert, California by best friends Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme, Eagles of Death Metal is nota death metal band. The story goes that a friend was introducing Homme to the death metal genre, and Homme wondered what a cross between the Eagles and a death metal band would sound like. With that, EODM was born. The band released Peace Love Death Metal in 2004, followed by Death by Sexy in 2006, Heart On in 2008, Zipper Down in 2015 and Eagles of Death Metal Presents Boots Electric Performing The Best Songs We Never Wrote in 2019.
