Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal have confirmed a benefit appearance at Los Angeles's Club Nokia for Thursday, August 12th. The show is being held to raise funds for Eagles of Death Metal bassist Brian O'Connor who was recently diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing treatment in Los Angeles. Net proceeds from the show will be contributed to a fund which has been established in conjunction with Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, to assist with Brian's medical aid and vital living expenses.
Tickets for the August 12th performance will be available beginning Friday, July 16th at 10:00 am at Ticketmaster.
The Los Angeles gig will be the second Josh Homme-organized benefits for O'Connor, the first being a show by Them Crooked Vultures which was held Monday, July 5th @ London's O2 Academy.

We've set up a donation fund at BrianEODM.org where you can help by donating money and spreading the word.
Two Trans-Atlantic benefit shows are planned to help raise funds for Brian's medical and living expenses. Them Crooked Vultures will headline a sold-out show on July 5th at Brixton Academy in London and details on a Queens of the Stone Age/Eagles of Death Metal show in Los Angeles will be announced on July 12th.

Them Crooked Vultures a/k/a Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme and John Paul Jones have announced the addition of a London date to the band's July festival run.
The new show, to be held July 5th at Brixton O2 Academy, has been organized to provide aid to TCV friend and Homme collaborator, Brian O'Connor.
Brian O'Connor, best known as the bass player for the Eagles of Death Metal, has been diagnosed with cancer, and is without medical insurance.
Net Proceeds from the Brixton O2 Academy show will be contributed to a fund which has been established to assist with Brian's medical aid.

In regards to my current health situation, with the remarkable support and love from my amazing friends and family, I am receiving the best medical and moral attention one could ask for. I cannot thank everyone enough for their continued support and involvement. I am excited for my full recovery and look forward to getting back to what I love most, melting face with my bass. I'm feeling great, after all, I am half unicorn. Keep ya posted.
